RINGWOOD CHAMBER NEWS 2008

The Home Stylist

The Home Stylist Braves Ellingham
The torrential weather at the Ellingham Show this August did nothing to dampen the spirits of Chamber Members The Home Stylist Limited who braved the heavy rain to take part in the annual local agricultural show at Somerley Park.
Director and Lead Interior Design Consultant Susie Lyons and Studio Assistant Jan Leccacorvi did not let the unseasonal weather stop them meeting potential clients and local contacts, as they manned their attractive stand, full of soft furnishings, fabric swatches and brochures. Huddling under brollies, many potential customers were eager to learn about the House Doctor Services and products offered by The Home Stylist. Indeed, The Earl of Normanton stopped-by with his family to preview the latest stunningly beautiful embroidered silk fabrics, to be released by Fibre Naturelle in September and available from Susie at her Ringwood Studio from then on.
Despite the fact that their awning was in fact blown away in the Saturday gales that followed, Susie, Jan and co., fully intend to repeat their visit to the Ellingham Show in 2009. It seems they certainly won't let the British summer stop them next time! Also spotted at the show this year were Chamber members Letchers Solicitors and Wayne Robbins. For more information on The Home Stylist and their services please call Susie on Tel: 01425 478759 or visit www.thehomestylist.co.uk

Signage Improvements

Signage Improvements
The new signs have been agreed for Ringwood, detailing places of interest and also routes in and out of The Market Place and High Street. At last, all the Chamber's hard work has come to fruition The first of the signs have gone up in the Car Parks, next to the 'pay and display' machines, showing the routes around the Town. So now visitors and shoppers alike can find Southampton Road, the High Street, the Market Place and the Bickerley and of course, our Parish Church! Keep a look out for the new Street signs.

Phil Harmsworth

ESP Recruitment opens in Ringwood
Recruitment Agencies are not all the same! That is the opinion of Phil Harmsworth who has opened ESP Recruitment in Ringwood. Phil said "We are not a normal High Street agency. ESP specialises in Executive and Senior Manager positions along the south coast in Dorset and Hampshire. Typically these will be roles paying in excess of £30,000 per annum and workers earning at that level have probably already had poor experiences in dealing with High Street agencies"
ESP is staffed by seasoned, experienced recruiters who have the time to really understand what candidates are looking for and they will go out to the market to try and find good candidates the job they are right for. Equally, employers need to know that if they are going to trust an agency with a confidential senior position it is going to be treated with professional, confidential care. "This type of recruitment experience does not have to be as expensive as many employers think. ESP can find great employees for the price of a couple of local adverts that we know, from first hand experience, rarely work" Phil said.
ESP can be contacted on 01425 485511 or by emailing Phil through their website: www.esppersonnel.co.uk

eHampshire Conference 2008

The eHampshire Conference 2008
Winchester Guildhall, 21st May A Must for your Diary…Learn all about the 'Three-Screen World' In the same way that 'selling-up' or 'related-sales' have always been essential to maximising profit in the retail sector, of equal importance, is this year's eHampshire Conference in-depth look at the impact of 'Three-Screen World' technology for High Street businesses and producers.
It is a time of dramatic change for the retail sector, for instance, Domino Pizza saw on-line and SMS ordering climb to 22% by the end of2007 and by a staggering further 91% in the early part of 2008. Now is the right time to gain understanding and insight into the smart and sustainable growth opportunities the 'Three-Screen World' can bring to retailers and producers.
The eHampshire Partnership looks forward to welcoming the County's retailers and producers to the 2008 eHampshire Conference. For further information and to book please click here...
